Phique provides product for those affected by Harvey
I live in Texas. Not near the the damage thankfully, but it’s top of mind for everyone in the area. It’s on the news constantly, and the devastation is horrifying. Part of our reason to be is giving back, as we talked about in an earlier post. Today, I gathered all the bottles I had on hand that we didn’t yet ship to Amazon, which amounted to a couple boxes worth. It isn’t much, but hopefully a few dozen families will benefit from it. My friend is personally loading up a truck and taking these products along with a lot of other supplies to help the hurricane victims.s
If you’d like to help, you can donate to the Red Cross. The link goes right to a Harvey relief page. There are many other causes you can donate to help, and if you’re in Texas, there are a lot of volunteer opportunities. I was going to help with an animal shelter but unfortunately I’m heading back to Chicago for the next couple weeks. You could also buy some Phique, as 5% of our profits go to charity.
I just wanted to take a minute and post to talk about what’s going on because it’s hitting close to home. I’ll get back to our regular ingredient posts next time. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
